Chrisney Man Charged with Battery On His Son

Spencer County (Chrisney): Indiana State Police arrested a Chrisney man Wednesday evening on battery charges after allegedly abusing his five-month old child. 

On Sunday, 22 year old Samuel Brinson of Chrisney, was caring for his five month old son and became frustrated due to the child crying and allegedly squeezed and bit the child’s ears, causing bruising.

The child was taken to Memorial Hospital in Jasper by his mother. The child was transferred to Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, to be further evaluated for internal injuries.

Brinson was located in Ferdinand and placed under arrest and was charged with a Class D Felony for Battery Causing Injury to a Child Less Than 14 Years of Age. Brinson was taken into custody lodged in the Spencer County Jail.
