Another member of the Koch family has died. WITZ News has learned that 47 year old Phillip Koch of the Koch Family that owns Holiday World passed away Monday night.
A news report from Channel 14 says that Koch who was President of Ho-Ho-Holdings and ran the Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort had a heart attack last night after an incident last week, which led to a hospital stay.
An official announcement from the Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort said “…Phillip J. Koch passed away early this morning, April 9, surrounded by his family at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.”
Koch was born and raised in Santa Claus and graduated in 1983 from Heritage Hills High School after which he attended and graduated from Purdue University in 1989 with a degree in Business Administration and Management.
Koch was CEO of Ho-Ho-Holdings, Inc, LLC, the parent company of Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort, the Santa Claus Christmas Store, Kringle Place Shopping Center and Santa’s Land.
Koch is survived by his wife Carol and two children, along with his mother, Pat and his siblings, Dan, Kristi and Natalie.
Koch’s brother Will passed away in June of 2010 from complications with diabetes.
