Pay Raises for Jasper City Council Members Clarified

Dubois County Owns Lowest Unemployment Rate in State

The unemployment rate in Dubois County was at 3.4 percent in September, according to the Department of Workforce Development. In August it was at 3.7 percent.  Since January the Unemployment rate in Dubois County has declined from a high of 4.9 percent in February. Jasper Common Council Votes Themselves a Pay Raise

The Jasper Common Council approved pay raises for the city employees and themselves in Wednesday night’s council meeting. The Utility Department and civil city employees get a 2 percent raise for salaried and .15 per hour increase for part time. Scooter Accident in Birdseye Sends Man to Hospital
