Gary Lee

I've been with WITZ AM/FM since December 1982 working nights for 2 years and assuming the morning host position of "Gary's Place" since 1984. My air shift is from 5-9AM weekdays. I'm an avid music fan. My favorites include The Eagles to Cheryl Crow. I'm also the Program Director for WQKZ-FM. I host a morning talk show "Gary's Place" live on WITZ AM/FM at 7:05AM and "The 8:35 Live Line." To inquire about an appearance with me email me directly at gary346@gmail.com.
Karen Dorrell

I've worked the mid-morning weekday air shift and early morning Sunday air shift since 1979. I'm an Ohio native and graduated from Bowling Green State University. I live in Washington, Indiana. My vocation is radio broadcasting, but by avocation is theatre. I've been involved in Veale Creek Players in Washington and over the years have performed in plays, musicals and directed shows. I also like to read. I placed first in 1991 and 1992 in the Associated Press news/public affairs competition for interviews aired in my show on WITZ and in 1996 won first place in the Indiana Broadcast Association's competition for best series of commercials. I live with my husband Dean (aka Abraham Lincoln) and our two cats.
Chris James

I have been with WITZ AM/FM and WQKZ-FM Radio since September 1997, when I was brought aboard to assist with the launch of WQKZ-FM. Musically my favorite artists are The Eagles, Anne Murray and The Carpenters, with a strong influence from 1950's and 1960's oldies, plus a deep enjoyment of 1970's album rock. Of course I also have developed a solid bond with today's new hit country. I enjoy John Wayne and Clint Eastwood movies, but also dig Indiana Jones films and most movies that are satires or jam packed with subtle, dry humor. I have been recognized as a two-time winner of the District "O" baseball announcer of the year courtesy of the Indiana Baseball Coaches Association, plus was a recipient of the 2008 Virgil Sweet Distinguished Service Award from the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.
Brandon Elliott

I was hired in March of 2008 as the News Director for WITZ AM/FM and WQKZ-FM. I graduated from Wabash Valley College with a Radio/TV Broadcasting degree in May of 2007. I was also the Sports Director there. I am a big music fan. I like a lot of oldies including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Seger, The Eagles and REO Speedwagon just to name a few. I enjoy playing and watching all sports. I am a HUGE baseball and St. Louis Cardinals fan! I am originally from Fairfield, Illinois and currently reside in Jasper.
B. J. Thomas

I've been heard in the afternoon on WITZ since October of 1989. Prior to WITZ I was at radio stations in Bloomington, Bedford,Vincennes, and Tell City in Indiana and Rockford and Decatur in Illinois. Favorite things to do: Bible study, playing guitar and drums, emailing friends, surfing the web, burning cd's, culinary experimentation (and eating those experiments!). My favorite recording artists are Lindell Cooley and Darrell Evans. My favorite song, at the moment is "Revelation Song." Favorite foods: Smucker's Natural Peanut Butter, homemade hummus, veggie stir-fry, veggie Mexican casseroles and hot sauces. Jim O'Neal

Hello, I'm Jim O'Neal. I wear a few different hats at WITZ/WQKZ. First, I'm the tech support person. I support all of our PCs and their connectivity to our network. Also, I generate the music schedules from our scheduling software that plays on the air. And, finally, I perform board work for games, and once in a while, fill in on the air as a DJ.

I moved to Jasper in 2002 from Indianapolis. I've been involved in radio in one way or another since college in the late 70s and early 80s. I like all kinds of music and artists and really like radio and the local touch that it provides in the community.

Take it from me, once you are bitten by the radio bug it's hard to shake!

Favorite Movies: Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Hoosiers, and LOTS of comedies.

Favorite Musical Artists: Huey Lewis and the News, Chicago, Bryan Adams, Michael W. Smith, Daughtry, and a LOT more!

Hobbies: Computers (of course), Music, Golf

Other Interests: I am a freelance writer as well.
Gene Gray

Born and raised in Otwell, I graduated from Otwell High School and joined the Air Force. After 20 years with the Air Force, I went to work for the radio station WSEB in Sebring, Florida and was Program Director there until the station was sold in 1972.

I returned to southern Indiana and married my wife ella and joined the staff of WITZ working the evening shift. Later on, I covered the morning 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM time slot, holding that position until 1983.

I took a leave from radio and moved to Arizona where I lived until 1999.

I have returned once again to southern Indiana and to work part time with WITZ where I currently hold down the Friday evening and Saturday afternoon shifts and other shifts as necessary.

My other intersts are current events and working with computers.
